░█▒ The new album - DISCHORD - is released by RAGE in EDEN records ▒█░
░█▒ on 30th November and is the debut album of this three piece, ▒█░
░█▒ electronic band from Glasgow, Scotland. For anyone that has not ▒█░
░█▒ heard of Analog Angel; they are not a boy band by any means. ▒█░
░█▒ They are of an age where they can remember the 80's in full, ▒█░
░█▒ vivid, 3-D glory and the songs on DISCHORD tell some of the ▒█░
░█▒ story from the glorious 80's. 80's electronica? There is ▒█░
░█▒ certainly more than a hint of 80's electronica on DISCHORD. ▒█░
░█▒ Some of the basslines are straight out of the yearbooks 80-85!! ▒█░
░█▒ Some of the sounds are pure analogue beauty; full of filter ▒█░
░█▒ sweeps that could smash windows!! ▒█░
░█▒ Up to date technology? - that box is ticked too. There are ▒█░
░█▒ digital synths on the album; of that there is no doubt but they ▒█░
░█▒ have been tweeked to within an inch of their lives! DISCHORD ▒█░
░█▒ has been put together using some sort of digital interface but ▒█░
░█▒ ANALOG ANGEL have tried to be a bit different from all the ▒█░
░█▒ others in this genre and they have actually played some of the ▒█░
░█▒ parts live and not quantized the result. This results in a less ▒█░
░█▒ clinical sound with a bit more warmth than you would normally ▒█░
░█▒ expect from an all electronic band. An up to date sound? They ▒█░
░█▒ have managed to revisit the 80's, picked all that is good, ▒█░
░█▒ timewarped back to 2009 and put together DISCHORD. The songs? ▒█░
░█▒ The songs themselves stand up to the test. You can tell ▒█░
░█▒ immediately that the guys have some life experiences behind ▒█░
░█▒ them. Some of the music excels and their influences shine ▒█░
░█▒ through but it is the lyrics that give the game away. Sure, ▒█░
░█▒ there is some good. old fashioned synth pop on the album but ▒█░
░█▒ there is a dark, sometimes menacing undertone to some of the ▒█░
░█▒ lyrics. ▒█░
░█▒ ▒█░
░█▒ The titles of some of the songs shout out to you that there is ▒█░
░█▒ something dark, cheeky and menacing about to unfold into your ▒█░
░█▒ ears. There is also an edgy, vulnerable side in some of the ▒█░
░█▒ songs. John sings "In the role of the sinner; I'm just a ▒█░
░█▒ beginner and if it's a contest there's only one winner!" in the ▒█░
░█▒ song NO CONTEST. TV Evangelists get a tongue lashing in the ▒█░
░█▒ song TOUCHED (the promo video for this can be seen on YouTube). ▒█░

░█▒ HIGH HEELS and DEVIANCE deal with the sure fire winner topic of ▒█░

░█▒ an exquisite piece of music which deserves to be heard by the ▒█░
░█▒ masses. DISCHORD? There is certainly no indication of any ▒█░
░█▒ discord on this album. All the songs come together to make a ▒█░
░█▒ very impressive first album from ANALOG ANGEL. DISCHORD is ▒█░
░█▒ obviously a play on words (note the incorrect spelling!). Ask ▒█░
░█▒ them on their site forum and they might tell you the story ▒█░

°Û± The new album - DISCHORD - is released by RAGE in EDEN records ±Û°
°Û± on 30th November and is the debut album of this three piece, ±Û°
°Û± electronic band from Glasgow, Scotland. For anyone that has not ±Û°
°Û± heard of Analog Angel; they are not a boy band by any means. ±Û°
°Û± They are of an age where they can remember the 80's in full, ±Û°
°Û± vivid, 3-D glory and the songs on DISCHORD tell some of the ±Û°
°Û± story from the glorious 80's. 80's electronica? There is ±Û°
°Û± certainly more than a hint of 80's electronica on DISCHORD. ±Û°
°Û± Some of the basslines are straight out of the yearbooks 80-85!! ±Û°
°Û± Some of the sounds are pure analogue beauty; full of filter ±Û°
°Û± sweeps that could smash windows!! ±Û°
°Û± Up to date technology? - that box is ticked too. There are ±Û°
°Û± digital synths on the album; of that there is no doubt but they ±Û°
°Û± have been tweeked to within an inch of their lives! DISCHORD ±Û°
°Û± has been put together using some sort of digital interface but ±Û°
°Û± ANALOG ANGEL have tried to be a bit different from all the ±Û°
°Û± others in this genre and they have actually played some of the ±Û°
°Û± parts live and not quantized the result. This results in a less ±Û°
°Û± clinical sound with a bit more warmth than you would normally ±Û°
°Û± expect from an all electronic band. An up to date sound? They ±Û°
°Û± have managed to revisit the 80's, picked all that is good, ±Û°
°Û± timewarped back to 2009 and put together DISCHORD. The songs? ±Û°
°Û± The songs themselves stand up to the test. You can tell ±Û°
°Û± immediately that the guys have some life experiences behind ±Û°
°Û± them. Some of the music excels and their influences shine ±Û°
°Û± through but it is the lyrics that give the game away. Sure, ±Û°
°Û± there is some good. old fashioned synth pop on the album but ±Û°
°Û± there is a dark, sometimes menacing undertone to some of the ±Û°
°Û± lyrics. ±Û°
°Û± ±Û°
°Û± The titles of some of the songs shout out to you that there is ±Û°
°Û± something dark, cheeky and menacing about to unfold into your ±Û°
°Û± ears. There is also an edgy, vulnerable side in some of the ±Û°
°Û± songs. John sings "In the role of the sinner; I'm just a ±Û°
°Û± beginner and if it's a contest there's only one winner!" in the ±Û°
°Û± song NO CONTEST. TV Evangelists get a tongue lashing in the ±Û°
°Û± song TOUCHED (the promo video for this can be seen on YouTube). ±Û°

°Û± HIGH HEELS and DEVIANCE deal with the sure fire winner topic of ±Û°
°Û± sex; whilst the only ballad on the album DOWN ON YOUR KNEES is ±Û°
°Û± an exquisite piece of music which deserves to be heard by the ±Û°
°Û± masses. DISCHORD? There is certainly no indication of any ±Û°
°Û± discord on this album. All the songs come together to make a ±Û°
°Û± very impressive first album from ANALOG ANGEL. DISCHORD is ±Û°
°Û± obviously a play on words (note the incorrect spelling!). Ask ±Û°
°Û± them on their site forum and they might tell you the story ±Û°
°Û± behind it - if there is a story! ±Û°
