Artist: M.I.A. Title: XXXO Label: XL Genre: Hip-Hop Bitrate: 207kbit av. Time: 00:16:22 Size: 25.66 mb Rip Date: 2010-06-18 Str Date: 2010-07-12 01. XXXO 2:54 02. XXXO (Blaqstarr Dirty Mix) 3:04 03. XXXO (SBTRKT Remix) 3:33 04. XXXO (Riton ReRub) 3:49 05. XXXO (Various Remix) 3:02 Release Notes: M.I.A.æs ôXXXOö is a delicious, concise cut of modern electro-pop. Clocking in at just under three minutes and in keeping with her second albumÆs sound (ôJimmyö) and her dancier beginnings (Arular), the song is easily one of the artistÆs most glittery pop productions yet. In fact, ôXXXOö is so accessibly electro-pop that it seems the release of her controversial rebel rant from a few weeks ago, ôBorn Free,ö was probably meant as a kind of warning shot before this songÆs release. As if to curtail the dreaded ôsell out!!!ö comments she may have gotten for releasing this song first, ôBorn Freeö kept the political punch of M.I.A.Æs career coming back with power power, allowing this new song to sneak by with something far moreàwell, user friendly. (There are lyrics about tweeting!) ItÆs just a shame the song doesnÆt last longer. I still donÆt know if ôXXXOö could actually impact mainstream radio, but itÆs probably M.I.A.Æs most likely candidate (aside from the entirely over-hyped ôPaper Planes.ö) Then again, IÆm not sure M.I.A. wants to be played on the radio.
