Sacrificing the 9 | | to 5 pavement set out for them, the individuals in Hartford, based | | in Ottawa, Ontario, make a different kind of commitment to the | | concrete: to follow the white lines between every city and leave it | | all on the stage, day in and day out. If it comes down to five | | minutes or half an hour, the four-piece pop-punk outfit delivers an | | empowering and energetic performance that conveys their message with | | crystal clear clarity. Their dedication to the crowd is bewildering, | | regardless of how many people there are in the venue. Hartford | | stands tall and reflects their beliefs in heart wrenching, thought | | provoking lyrics delivered through engaging vocal melodies, backed | | by catchy guitar riffs and rhythms. True to their roots, the backing | | end of their devotion to tightness is reflected in bulky drum beats | | that only serve to amplify the groovy bass licks layered on top. | | This is Hartford: a group of musicians who sets out to tour in 2010 | | until the soles of their shoes become worn and their only home is | | the inside of a van. | | | | Despite their relentless work ethic that drives them towards the | | future only, Hartford has a bright past that has paved the way for | | what the band plans to become. Formed in April of 2008, with members | | coming from bands that had shared the stage with acts the likes of | | Silverstein, Bayside, Comeback-Kid, Hopesfall, Terror, Love Hate | | Hero and The Ataris, the boys were well set to take the country by | | storm. In the first 7 months of formation, Hartford played over 70 | | shows and sold a solid 500 copies of their self-produced and | | recorded demo. | | | | Establishing a solid fan base and getting an honest feel for the | | road, in 2009, Hartford felt it was time to take a giant leap | | forward. A year off allowed the musicianship of every individual to | | shine through the writing process that eventually evolved into two | | weeks of recording with Rob Freeman, who has worked with bands such | | as Hit The Lights, Cobra Starship and Armor For Sleep. From January | | 11th to 19th, 2010, Hartford poured their hearts and souls into | | getting these ideas transposed to audio frequencies. With the likes | | of Freeman on their side (guitarist/songwriter for Hidden in Plain | | View), ôThe Pilot Studioö became a home, a breeding ground for the | | boysÆ larger-than-life endeavours and dreams. | | | | Present day. A few member changes later, Hartford is better than | | ever and set to release their 6 song EP, titled ôRoom 207ö, with a | | bang. 2010 only has only one thing in store for Hartford: the road. | | Keep an eye out for this quartet, because when you least expect it, | | they will grab your city by the heart and have you singing along to | | every single word and clapping to every single beat. | | | | URL: http://www.myspace.com/hartford819 | | | +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ This NFO File was rendered by NFOmation.net
