Jim and Dean spent the entire ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ afternoon talking about collaborating. Over the course of the ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ same day, Jim would eventually introduce Dean to Will Hair, ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ who in turn called drummer Frank Paul that same evening. The ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ four musicians spent the next two weeks writing and playing ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ in FrankÆs basement. ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ Within a month, the newly formed Gynger Lynn had hit ôThe ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ Windy Cityö like a ferocious storm. Local management ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ companies and producers began to take notice. After recording ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ two demo cassettes at The Playroom with Joe Bader at the ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ helm, building the perfect road crew, and continuously ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ writing new material, Gynger Lynn was off to conquer the ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ Chicago music scene. The band played six to eight shows a ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ month, rehearsed five days a week, and basically lived the ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ rock-n-roll lifestyle to its fullest. ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ Over the course of the next couple of months, Gynger Lynn ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ would gain interest from Hounds and Columbia recording artist ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ John Hunter. John would soon become the bandÆs long time ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ manager and was determined to see the Gynger Lynn maximize ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ their musical talents and showmanship. John later took the ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ band to Chicago Recording Company to record some of the ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ bandÆs best material with Chris Sheppard. Gynger Lynn would ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ also begin to open for many national acts such as Doro, Tony ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ MaCalpine, Tuff, Lillian Axe, Helix, Blue Oyster Cult, and ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ many others. Gynger Lynn would also share the stage with such ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ local acts as Smash Alley, Ript, Little Venus, Nikki Foxx, ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ Onyx, and many others. ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ Although times were good for Gynger Lynn, changes began to ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ develop about midway through with Frank and Dean and their ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ collaboration. Ergo, the side projects were short lived. ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ Frank had decided to pursue a different genre and has since ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ gone on to become a great country, pop, and Christian ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ recording artist. Frank can be found by visiting ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ www.frankpaul.com. ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ Dean would soon head back to Gynger Lynn and at the same time ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ would add two new band members with Gavin Jadwin on keyboards ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ and Luke James Lorraine on drums. Gynger Lynn was now a five ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ piece machine and was ready to get back to business as usual. ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ The band went back to six to eight shows a month, often ▐█▌▐▓▌ ▐▓▌▐█▌ playing double shows on weekends. Jim and Dean spent the entire ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ afternoon talking about collaborating. Over the course of the ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ same day, Jim would eventually introduce Dean to Will Hair, ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ who in turn called drummer Frank Paul that same evening. The ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ four musicians spent the next two weeks writing and playing ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ in Franks basement. ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Within a month, the newly formed Gynger Lynn had hit The ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Windy City like a ferocious storm. Local management ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ companies and producers began to take notice. After recording ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ two demo cassettes at The Playroom with Joe Bader at the ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ helm, building the perfect road crew, and continuously ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ writing new material, Gynger Lynn was off to conquer the ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Chicago music scene. The band played six to eight shows a ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ month, rehearsed five days a week, and basically lived the ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ rock-n-roll lifestyle to its fullest. ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Over the course of the next couple of months, Gynger Lynn ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ would gain interest from Hounds and Columbia recording artist ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ John Hunter. John would soon become the bands long time ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ manager and was determined to see the Gynger Lynn maximize ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ their musical talents and showmanship. John later took the ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ band to Chicago Recording Company to record some of the ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ bands best material with Chris Sheppard. Gynger Lynn would ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ also begin to open for many national acts such as Doro, Tony ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ MaCalpine, Tuff, Lillian Axe, Helix, Blue Oyster Cult, and ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ many others. Gynger Lynn would also share the stage with such ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ local acts as Smash Alley, Ript, Little Venus, Nikki Foxx, ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Onyx, and many others. ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Although times were good for Gynger Lynn, changes began to ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ develop about midway through with Frank and Dean and their ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ collaboration. Ergo, the side projects were short lived. ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Frank had decided to pursue a different genre and has since ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ gone on to become a great country, pop, and Christian ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ recording artist. Frank can be found by visiting ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ www.frankpaul.com. ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Dean would soon head back to Gynger Lynn and at the same time ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ would add two new band members with Gavin Jadwin on keyboards ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ and Luke James Lorraine on drums. Gynger Lynn was now a five ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ piece machine and was ready to get back to business as usual. ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ The band went back to six to eight shows a month, often ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ playing double shows on weekends. Known for their punked-up ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ version of The Time Warp, lots of silly string, sufficient ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ supply of beer, beautiful girls at all of the shows, broken ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ guitars, plenty of original material, hard work, and most ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ importantly high-energy, Gynger Lynn never had to worry about ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ giving the same show twice and appeared to be on their way. ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Gynger Lynn was also beginning to play showcases for and ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ meeting with many of the music industrys top record ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ executives from Warner Brothers, RCA, Columbia, Capital, and ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Geffen. The band would also see plenty of air time on The ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Spirit of Chicago 103.5 the Blaze. ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ In 1994, Gynger Lynn would eventually go their own way, as ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ the record industry was no longer interested in signing bands ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ of this nature. However, it was an incredible five year ride. ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ Gynger Lynn had recorded a few dozen studio tracks, played ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ hundreds of shows, and still remain friends to this day.
