Maroon 5 will release its sophomore album, "It Won't Be
Soon Before Long," May 22 via the new A&M/Octone Records
partnership. The first single is "Makes Me Wonder."

The 12-track set is the follow-up to 2002's "Songs About
Jane," which has sold 4.3 million units in the United
States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It features
production by Mike Elizondo, Mark "Spike" Stent, Eric
Valentine and Mark Endert.

"It's like 'Songs About Jane,' but more danceable,"
guitarist James Valentine recently said of the new album,
adding that "the beats are definitely harder" but that
there are "also some mellow vibes."

Maroon 5 will unveil new material at two upcoming shows:
March 27 in Los Angeles at part of Nissan Live Sets,
followed by a March 30 performance at the third annual
Musicians on Call benefit at New York auction house
Sotheby's.
