Release Notes:

'Shockwaves' is the second album release by Unkle Bob, a Glasgow formed
alternative rock / jangle pop band. It succeeds their debut album,
Sugar and Spite (released Oct 2006), which received widespread critical
acclaim and spawned a dozen major sync placements including Greys
Anatomy, CSI Miami, and My Sassy Girl movie, generating a global
audience for the band.

'Shockwaves' is as humble as it is heartfelt and demonstrates a more
accomplished sounding Unkle Bob, with production duties this time
handled by Saul Davies from the band James, and Grammy Award winning
producer Ken Nelson (Coldplay, Gomez, Badly Drawn Boy).

Q magazine suggested that Unkle Bob's sound was "reminiscent of early
REM û really very lovely indeed" whilst MOJO noted that it was
"warm-melancholic as Prefab Sprout or icy-isolated as Radiohead" and
that the band hurled themselves "from reflection to ripped-up despair
in a moment." The Times allowed that we shouldn't "be surprised if this
Glasgow-born quintet are still selling albums 20 years from now because
they have a deadly weapon in their armoury; great songs".
