1) There's a bunch of different ways at getting IDM cracked/patched or "fixed" take your pick but here >>
is THE ButtKICKER.
If you are updating and are not getting a nag screen skip to step 6, If you are getting a nag screen >>
read the entire
procedure. If you just want to use the manual method an copy over the files to your IDM folder skip >>
to step 8.
With this patch included, to update IDM everytime, all you have to do is update, run patch and you >>
will continue to
enjoy IDM.
2) Update IDM the normal way or uninstall/re-install, the choice is yours!
After it says 'You're a dirty pirate and your key is stolen' hit cancel, or eXit out, does not matter..
3) Close IDM (Goto tasks > exit) , Or use task manager, process explorer/hacker and end/kill
"Internet Download Manager" or "IDMan.exe".
4) Prepare your self, things are about to get fun so clear your mind, Namaste and all that..

everytime you update IDM>
5) Run the IDM Cleaner.bat. Don't worry, it's safe, I checked, and so can you, just open it in notepad(++)
It simply removes the old keys that you did not 'borrow' ;) from the registry.
6) Run the 'internet.download.manager.6.x.x.update.9-patch.exe' You DO NOT have to copy the patch to >>
your IDM Folder!
Simply run the patch, hit patch, It should find 'IDMan.exe' and it will try some love making on it. >>
You will be
prompted to enter a first and last name, surname, nickname or whatever your kinky partner calls you >>
when you're
"holding hands". If you can't choose a name, pick a funny name and you should probably see someone >>
about that later
but we are not here to diagnose you, we are here to kick butts, remember?
6a) Make sure to run the (RegMe_x32.reg & RegMe_x64.reg).
To use the RegMe files, just double click on one or right click > click Merge then click "Yes", "Yes", >>
"OK".
-Note- Each patch you try will make a backup copy of the original 'IDMan.exe' I also include a backup >>
of the original
in the '\Manual.method\Copy.files.in.this.folder.to.IDM.folder\' Just remove the '.BAK' from >>
it and place
it in your IDM folder and you're good. If not, then simply go back to step one and >>
un-install and re-install.
7) You should be good to go, if not, try the other patches in the '\Other.patchers\' folder. Be >>
persistent, you can do it!
8) If you can not get the nag screen to go away, use the manual method, just copy all those files in >>
"Manual.method to your
IDM folder (usually "C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Download Manager") AND use the RegMe_x32.reg >>
& RegMe_x64.reg.

Be ferocious but do not panic, It may only nag you once and go away, If not. Go back to step one.
